Archery is a must-do family activity in the Wye Valley. Our Monmouth archery range is ideally located to enjoy this ancient pastime whether you’re camping in the Forest of Dean or a local family looking for fun.
You’re in safe hands with our qualified and experienced instructors. Your hour-long session begins with a safety briefing followed by tuition and guided practice to get you on target. We always make plenty of time for a few friendly competitions or games towards the end of the session.
Our bows and arrows are lightweight and easy to use, meaning that the activity is suitable for children (age 6+) and adults alike. We only take a maximum of 8 people on each session, so you have lots of opportunities to go for gold.
Our instructors all hold the Archery GB Instructor Award or a higher level qualification. You can be assured of a safe, enjoyable session with Borderlands. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never held a bow and arrow before; our friendly staff will support you to learn the skills you need. Most people manage to get on target within a few turns.
An archery experience is one of the most accessible outdoor activities available. We’re happy to support participants with additional learning needs and physical disabilities to enjoy the sport. Let us know what you need from us to help you participate. We can usually find a way to include everybody in the activity.
We run open archery sessions from our Monmouth site, close to the Forest of Dean. We’re also happy to travel to you so, whatever your event or group, get in touch to discuss.
All of our instructors have completed the Archery GB Instructor award, or a higher qualification as well as an in-date first aid qualification. We’re experienced in working with a wide range of groups from children to corporate teams, so you can rest assured you’re in safe hands!
At Borderlands we take our responsibilities seriously. That’s why we hold public liability insurance to the value of £10m.
